Investigation of multiple in-game mysteries potentially linked to Raxxla including Halsey's disappearance with 'angels' narrative, Jacques Station 'singing' phenomenon, and hyperspace-related anomalies in Exodus logs.

Multiple in-game mysteries may be Raxxla-related phenomena: Halsey's disappearance/reappearance with 'angels' narrative, Jacques Station 'singing', hyperspace lights and suicides in Exodus logs, original Formidine Rift scary rumors, and superfast Diamondbacks. These phenomena are typically discounted as unrelated due to lack of explicit Raxxla mentions.
Alternatively, we have a LOT of clues - we just don't recognize them as being associated with Raxxla. Here's a list of unexplained weirdnesses: Halsey's disappearance and reappearance babbling about 'angels' Jaques and the 'singing' The weird hyperspace lights and suicides in the Exodus logs The original (there's something scary in the) Rift rumors Superfast Diamondbacks These could ALL be phenomena associated with Raxxla, but since they don't explicitly mention it, we discount them as being unrelated. I'm probably giving FDev way too much credit, but it's nice to speculate. Click to expand... I’ve tended to discount superfast DB as pre-engineers release hype. Since we have (mostly) no clues, the nature of the conversation will tend to span very wide. Click to expand... Halsey's 'angels' reference is suspicious and may relate to Raxxla, Thargoids, Guardians, or unknown entities. The connection requires more narrative exploration to gather evidence.
I’ve tended to discount superfast DB as pre-engineers release hype. The FRift weird lights, suicides and something scary I think was related to an original storyline where the goids were sited in Bovomit, but I think for some reason (unknown) FD changed the storyline & moved them to Col70 region, forgetting that the Cone Sector etc had already had some explorer visits prior to locking them. Might be related to DW’s Dynasty theory being too close to home? I suspect this storyline change resulted in Jaques’ misjump ending up in Colonia...for some reason Halsey’s “angels” is suspicious and may be related to Raxxla, Thargoids, Guardians, blue fireflies or something yet to be found. As usual there seems to be no opportunity (i.e. insufficient narrative!) to explore this to gain further eviden...
Unknown Probes previously scanned ships and produced audio graphable into visual ship representations. Theory suggests Frontier planned to introduce aliens claiming they copied human ship designs, but shelved the idea due to player outcry about combat parity.
Oh dang, totally forgot about that. Yeah it was either a shady business, or Space Jesus come to spread the word about Earth Jesus. Click to expand... Remember how the Unknown Probes/Artifacts/whatever had been scanning ships and producing audio that could be graphed out into a visual representation of said ships? A lot of people (myself included) believed that Frontier was planning to introduce the Thargoids (or another alien species) by claiming that they had copied our ship designs and that, therefore, combat against the aliens wouldn't be any different from combat against any other NPCs. The outcry was quite vocal and a lot of people believed that Frontier shelved the idea due to said outcry. I for one still believe this to be the case.
The lifeless DBX incident suggests violation of Elite lore's strict AI prohibition, implying involvement of shadowy organizations conducting illegal autonomous ship operations.
I remember that article, but as far as I know, it was never followed up. Remember people speculating that the 'goids were replicating our tech to get in close and gather meaningful data, but nothing after that. Me thinks it was the pesky Guardian HOA coming through to spy on our neighborhood. Gotta make sure those are Tulips in habitat 3, cause they don't tolerate no daisies. Click to expand... Darn, that's a shame. Was excited to see where that story was going because (AFAIK) the use of AI is outlawed within the Elite lore so someone must've been up to some shady business.
Historical Galnet article reported a DBX spotted outside a station with no life signs detected on-board that performed a high-wake jump. Never followed up in any storyline, suggesting potential connection to unauthorized AI use or infiltration by unknown entities.
Been reading back a few pages and saw mentions of "superfast DBX's" and the possibility of it being Engineers-related, but does anyone remember a Galnet article from a couple years back about a DBX being spotted outside a station and, when scanned by the station, no life was detected on-board and it simply turned around and high-waked away? Was this ever expanded upon further as part of some storyline or anything like that?
