SAP 8 containment cores appear throughout military supply chains and civil war zones, with evidence suggesting they may be key components in accessing hidden Raxxla technology. Testing has shown they produce no reaction with known Thargoid or Guardian structures, suggesting an unknown third-party origin or alternative application mechanism.

SAP 8 cores spawn in supercruise (not USS) during civil wars, particularly in the main faction's system. HR 1597 confirmed as source location.
Iv joined the search. Loaded my Krait up with enough supplies and research tools to last me god knows how long... Any clues or hints or tidbits of facts would be greatly appreciated! Im going to start my search by heading to where those missions have you most commonly go. See if there is anything in the news sections. Im not yet elite in anything yet. (Though Im pretty close to getting elite in Exploration) so I cant exactly get to the Dark Wheel myself or do the missions if they still exist. Also, Iv noted that its really hard to comb through this never ending 190 paged thread for any new and relevant data. Lots of speculations but no science going on lately from what I can tell! Please prove me wrong though. Click to expand... This is about it: Here we go folks, from the livestream...
SAP 8 cores and military convoys carry antimatter containment units, suggesting active military drive development. Thargoid-related activity correlates with these technology transfers.
Ok, there you go.. Go to a system with a civil war (preferibly the main faction in civil war) and it will spawn in SuperCruise (no USS), once you find it all you have to do is take it.. I found this in HR 1597 just a few minutes ago. Click to expand... Nice one. It has the Antimatter containment unit to. They are definitely working on military drives.
Testing SAP 8 cores against Thargoid structures may yield maps or hidden information. Guardian data terminals combined with SAP 8 cores could potentially reveal Raxxla location data.
Has anyone ever tried ramming a SAP 8 core into a Thargoid structure? It normally gives us a nonsensical map using Thargoid tech, and blows up using Guardian tech - perhaps the crystal in a SAP 8 Core is treated as a guardian artifact and it kabooms (in which case I would try out the guardian data terminal with the SAP 8 core), or it could do nothing.... or it could give us a map to Raxxla? I would try this but am a bit busy with BGS work atm to get the time to find a core and then get out to the respective places...?
SAP 8 Core containers feature 'modified, self-sustaining, fusion-core containment fields' which structurally resemble antimatter containment systems, suggesting the shards inside may be antimatter-based rather than standard crystalline structures.
If Sap 8 Cores are contained in, well containers, with a "modified, self-sustaining, fusion-core containment field", then it could mean the Shard inside is made of Anti-matter. Which could be a clue?
Following negative Thargoid testing results, SAP 8 Cores should be tested at Guardian Structure sites to determine if data points or terminal interactions reveal hidden information related to Raxxla.
Panpiper tested the Sap 8 Cores on the Thargoid sites. He said "Testing so far has revealed nothing. Thargoids dont mind you carrying them, they scan and ignore the containers too. Thargoid structures do not accept them. Had to test all possibilities." He sent this lovely postcard as well. Thank you CMDR Panpiper! Click to expand... They should next try the Guardian Structure sites. See if the data points reveal anything, or react at all.
SAP 8 Cores can be harvested more easily from Military-Grade ships in anarchy systems experiencing civil war, as opposed to higher-security systems. This may indicate SAP 8 Cores are mission-critical items with specific acquisition conditions.
My daka daka is not strong enough to get them from an Elite Military-Grade cutter. I know my limits, I'm happy to help tho. Click to expand... Only now I realise that's not your inventory on the screenshot *facepalm* Anyway, have you tried finding them in anarchy System in civil war state? Would make the "harvest" much easier.
SAP 8 containers holding data crystals may be decodable through Guardian Data Terminals at new Guardian sites rather than traditional means. Tech Brokers currently read SAP 8 data, but terminals might reveal hidden information including potential Raxxla blueprints.
I suggested a couple of pages back that we should try inserting SAP8 containers into a Guardian Data Terminal (at new Guardian sites). If SAP8 are storing data crystals then that might be the way to decode them. Click to expand... You mean by dropping them instead of the acient relic? Mmh not sure how that would fit into the game mechanic. Of course the terminal yields data, but not data in the way we can read it. Only tech Brokers can read that data apparently. Well we don't know until we try, right? Maybe we get a Raxxla blueprint
SAP 8 Cores contain data crystals that may function as Guardian artifacts. Testing ramming SAP 8 Cores into Thargoid structures or inserting them into Guardian Data Terminals could yield Raxxla-related information or coordinates.

CMDR Panpiper's comprehensive testing found that Thargoid structures do not accept SAP 8 Core containers, Thargoids ignore them when scanned, and placing them in Thargoid sites yields no reactions. This rules out direct Thargoid integration as a Raxxla path.

Testing confirms SAP 8 Cores produce no reaction at Guardian Structure sites, same as Thargoid sites. Evidence suggests SAP 8s are of different extraterrestrial origin, possibly Third Party or related to Soontill Relics.
Just Tested: The Sap 8 Cores on the Guardian Structure site. No reaction. Just free-floated away. Same as at the Thargoid sites. Wasn't sure if someone tried it with the Guardians. It is now my theory that the Sap 8s don't have anything to do with Thargoids or Guardians, and are now most likely of Other-extraterrestrial origin. Soontill Relics as well.
Comprehensive testing by CMDR Panpiper confirmed SAP 8 Cores produce no interaction with Thargoid structures or Guardian sites. Thargoids scan containers but ignore them. This eliminates the hypothesis that SAP 8 Cores are keys to these alien structures.

Another hypothesis bites the dust, such is the way of science. Well done Cmdr Panpiper et al!!
Explorer Macros Black discovered and tagged planets in a system located somewhere between Col 70 sector and edges of Guardian space. The discoverer speculated it could be Raxxla-related based on its characteristics and location.
I actually found once a system Macros Black had discovered and tagged some planets. Not sure if it was Raxxla, but it was like a little bit Raxxla nevertheless. Somewhere between Col 70 and edges of Guardian space.
Permit-locked Col 70 contains Wreaken Construction facility building both Imperial and Federation battlefleets in parallel. The Club coordinated military buildup in preparation for Thargoid incursion into inhabited bubble.
If I remember correctly, the Col 70 signal was related to a part where a certain journalist was able to witness Wreaken Construction operating in the permit locked sector, and witnessed both Imperial and Federation battlefleet being constucted there. The revelation was that they were built next to each other. The Club had plans that both sides should have as many warmachines as possible built before thargoids, enter the bubble. Another signal was nearby Col 70, just before Salome left towards the bubble. Before they left for the perilous journey towards the Old Worlds, experimental FSD had been used to enter Col 70, and they immediately met hostile thargoid ships. Im not certain if it's lore anymore. It's supposed to be, I guess, but it feels like things have taken a different direction....
Experimental FSD was used to enter permit-locked Col 70 sector by Salome's expedition, resulting in immediate hostile Thargoid encounters. Related to The Club's broader narrative of military preparation for Thargoid threat.
