Author notes that 'Planet Osiris' exists in system HD 209458 and appears in Elite as a populated HIP system. Also identifies Bast system containing single planet THFC-EST1882 with UA sightings.
I revised your numbers. I made a little mistake before. Here it is, the new number: R A X X L A 5 1 3 3 2 1 Click to expand... Ok now is see, why you come up with 6/6/3... Interesting, how did you get the allotted numbers in the first place? Oh and btw, the distance from Sirius to Sol is 8,6 Ly XD Edit: Read today that the "Planet Osiris" is in the system "HD 209458". It is in Elite, as a populated HIP system. Edit2: Bast, the system where multiple UAs where seen has only one planet, called "THFC-EST1882" so the "12" and the "8" has another appearance.
Author notes distance from Sirius to Sol is 8.6 light years, potentially relevant to coordinate theories.

Analyzed lore phrase 'A planet older than the Galaxy itself' by searching for oldest stars. Found ~2 candidates in-game but ages didn't match real astronomical data. Concluded dead end.
Hi. I've been looking for Raxxla for some time now. I new about this thread, but didn't really follow it as it seems that the only hint being followed was those missions in the OP, which you can only get on Elite. As I believe FD wouldn't have placed something in the game and then locked it to a select few, I started looking at other approaches, which by the way all failed (or are yet inconclusive). I'll post them here just in case someone can finally kill my theories and I can rest in peace, help them move them forward, or at least give another approach and discussion to this search... "A planet older than the Galaxy itself" - With this sentence in my head (found here), I started searching Wikipedia and other astronomical sources for the oldest stars in our galaxy. I was surprised that ...
Notes two additional galaxies visible as art objects in galaxy map, speculating they may be foreshadowing or future content.
Why though? What's the point? Click to expand... I don't know. It could be to foreshadow stuff, or just additional input grabbed from astrology cataclogues they used to generate the galaxy and create a complete skybox while in SC. I demand more rep to spread at will, focus the butter on the bread!!!
Suggests using stellar cartography methods (as employed to find Guardian ruins) to locate INRA bases from trailer skyboxes. Demonstrates a systematic approach to reverse-engineering locations from visual evidence.
At the expo there was a scene showing an INRA planet base. I havent seen it, only heard about it. Can we do the Stellar cartography technique that was used to find the guardian ruins on this? Click to expand... It has been located already. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/383412-INRA-is-ingame https://m.Please use another image host/a/WSgtM
Analyzes how INRA bases were located, noting discrepancies between skybox comparisons and actual locations. Questions whether legitimate lore research or file access was used, suggesting alternative methods beyond stated stellar cartography.
Its not the base from the trailer, is another one. Click to expand... Although the guy is claiming that he found it by comparing the Skybox with the trailer (even though the two apparently do not match) and is being very vague about how he so quickly narrowed it down to that planet. Lots of speculation on Reddit that other means were used given that one if the folks involved was apparently turfed from the Canonn due to a proclivity to look at files he's not supposed to... All in all it definitely sounds like this is not the trailer INRA base people are looking for, but another one. Overviews here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/383412-INRA-is-ingame and here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/383496-Old-INRA-base-discovery
Claims INRA base discovery was worked out from old lore, specifically referencing Alioth and Hotice connections from First Frontier Elite. Suggests the discovered base is 125 years older than the FFE Hotice base.
Didn't speak to the original cmdr who found the site, but spoke to someone who seemed to know them. Apparently it was worked out from old lore. Click to expand... Well 'worked out from old lore' might be a bit strong here. Searching close to Alioth because Hotice isn't to far away in FFE, still leaves a few systems. CockieJarvis must have had some inside info here, as this base does not match the one in trailer and seem to be 125 years older than the Hotice base from FFE.
Analysis of non-rotating (Schwarzschild) black holes as potential gateways. Notes that new black hole HUD graphics were added and suggests looking for non-rotating black holes, though dismisses likelihood of connection to Raxxla.
Well I did kind of go on a wormhole/black hole comparison there. As also it has been posited in some sci-fi flicks that it would be possible tontravel through a black hole, provided the immense gravity doesn't crush you or rip you into space dust. Click to expand... Ever since they added the new HUD graphic for black holes I've been keeping my eyes out for non-rotating ones. I haven't heard of anyone finding a Schwarzshild black hole in-game though. Schwarzschild geometry consists of: 1. A blackhole 2. A whitehole 3. 2 universes connected at the horizons of the blackhole & whitehole. It is unlikely that they actually exist in the real world and equally unlikely that they exist in Elite: Dangerous ... though maybe we'll get some interesting things in "Beyond" regarding exploration. ...
References the Wow! signal from 1977 as a possible extraterrestrial connection candidate, with unexplored expeditionary potential. Contrasts with Tabby's Star as pre-dating Elite Dangerous and fitting the 1985 Elite era.
Good Old Days ... Click to expand... Good old days indeed! but I’ve heard the rooms at that retirement home are a little chilly, & the staff are a bit stiff. [where is it] Click to expand... Speaking of the good old days: Gosh you guys are invested! It's fantastic I wasn't actually proposing Tabby's Star (I didn't know it was called that. Never heard of it before) as a Raxxla candidate at all. The connection I was making was much shallower than that. Jaiotu mentioned Dyson spheres and I just remembered that Youtube video that I watched literally days ago. I'm still processing that coincidence! Click to expand... While Tabby's Star isn't a likely candidate since it didn't get public attention until after ED's release there is another possible piece of evidence of extraterres...
Tabby's Star (KIC 8462852) was not publicly known until 2015, after Elite Dangerous gamma phase in 2014. Timeline makes it unlikely Frontier could have intentionally referenced this phenomenon as a Raxxla clue.
It's worth reminding yourself, from time to time, that you are in the the Lore and Roleplay section of a forum for a video game about (not exclusively) alien encounters. Click to expand... True but since we are looking for something in this game that was supposedly introduced during the pre-launch "Gamma" phase which was back in 2014. Nobody was talking about KIC 8462852 (AKA Tabby's Star) until 2015. I'm as prone to flights of fancy as anyone, and was quite disappointed that Tabby's Star isn't in the game, but I think it is unlikely that there is a relationship between this phenomenon and Raxxla if for no other reason than my doubts that Frontier could simulate anything similar inside the game as it now stands.
The 1977 'Wow!' signal received by Ohio State University's Big Ear radio telescope predates Elite's release and came from Sagittarius with documented coordinates (Declination and Right Ascension known). Suggests potential real-world astronomical mystery that may have inspired Raxxla lore.
Speaking of the good old days: While Tabby's Star isn't a likely candidate since it didn't get public attention until after ED's release there is another possible piece of evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence that predates not only Elite: Dangerous but the original Elite as well. I'm thinking of the "Wow!" signal. From Wikipedia: "The Wow! signal was a strong narrowband radio signal received on August 15, 1977, by Ohio State University's Big Ear radio telescope in the United States, then used to support the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. The signal appeared to come from the constellation Sagittarius and bore the expected hallmarks of extraterrestrial origin. " Best part? We have coordinates. We know the Declination beyond a shadow of a doubt and have only two Right Ascen...
Cassiopeia Project researcher hiciacet developed Python script converting real-world astronomical positions (Right Ascension, Declination, light-year distance) to Elite Dangerous galactic map coordinates.
Just throwing this out there....there was an apparent French Expedition specifically to find Raxxla. https://elitedangerous.station.community/actualites/en-route-pour-raxxla/ Looks like all of 12 CMDR's made the trip. I assume they didn't find it. Click to expand... Well,if they did when we arrive we can expect a good meal!
Proposal to systematically explore all 119,614 stars from Hipparcos, Yale and Gliese catalogues using collaborative method to identify and check off stars in hopes of finding Raxxla.
LOL. There's a link to a one of my previous summaries about half way down the 1st post, just before the "Tourist Spot's in Shinrarta Dezhra" title! And yeah, it's a salt-free reason that they vanished: Bug and/or subsequently Forgotten. Click to expand... doh. I was just reading the first page again last night. Think I need new spectacles, to replace the new specs I got two weeks ago. Or maybe a new brain. Actually could do with a new body too! edit: unlikely to be a bug I think, or rather just a bug; their silence speaks volumes. I think there’s something else going on, perhaps it got mixed up with another storyline so something needs to happen with that before these missions can be reinstated? Just inference and guesswork though.
