Classical mythology patterns including triumvirate gateways (Polaris-Gate, Alioth-Bridge, Sirius-Way), oracle journey sequences, and rare commodities tied to mythological deities indicate intentional thematic design. Systems with mythological names create navigational and lore-based signposting throughout the galaxy.

Dark Wheel mentions both station and planet without specifying which. Theorizes moving gateway (station) being positioned next to celestial body that work together. Suggests atmospheric landings may be required to access gateway on planetary surface.
Hmm, Raxxla is supposedly a planet;however entering Jacques with an UA could be a good test, if Jacques really turns out to be a gateway leading to Raxxla for ships holding an UA... Allright, ramping up Timocani UA efforts to search level 2. Click to expand... Dark wheel novel always mentions a station and a planet but never says which. This new gateway is being moved into position next to the celestial body. The 2 work together. Plant could be a clue about the planet obv. Maybe we should check the rares for clues? Yeah I'm going looking for UA too, lol Edit: " .... on Raxxla there's an alien construct that's a gateway to other Universes," Missions talk about a celestial body. Would mean we can get to Raxxla but can't use the gateway till atmospheric landings are ready if FD we...
Analyzes Sun-Moon imagery in Raxxla lore: Sun as light/generator/bright wheel galaxy, Moon as hunter (German mythology) perpetually moving. Proposes Jacques Station as 'Moon' (moving, nocturnal symbol) and identifies 'Jacob' etymology connection, referencing Jacob's Ladder as gateway metaphor.
Maybe that station is Raxxla? Click to expand... I rather think of the station being a gateway to "Raxxla", there is very strong imagery used in this galatic riddle: The "Sun" and the "Moon". The "Sun" is present in most systems, some kind of generator? It also is a symbol for light, our "bright wheel" galaxy? The "Moon" is a "hunter" in german mythology, never stopping, allways moving, dancing with the "Sun" hunting and teasing it. The "Moon" also is most apparent, when it is nightfall, but both objects may be seen from earth during early day or late eve. It could be a symbol for the "Dark Wheel". I bet Jaque's station is the "Moon", also "Jaque" again is another variant of "Jacob"....
Connects Jacob's Ladder myth to Raxxla access: Jacques Station as key/gateway, destination planet as Raxxla, station's travel path as the ladder. Predicts rare plant cargo may trade on Raxxla side. 'Place that isn't a place, door that is also the key' mirrors obfuscated mission language.
Climb Jacob's Ladder and there is a gateway to another world. When you enter you are greated by Many Eyes where you can give them a gift. This place doesn't really exist but it's there. It's a myth. "place that isn't a place, door that is also the key. The myth." So, yeah, Jaques station could quite easily be the key to the gateway. Whichever planet it settles at, thats Raxxla and the path it's travelling is the ladder. I bet it even has a rare plant for trading on the other side of the gateway, lol.
Proposes becoming myth/legend equals immortality, explaining Raxxla's eternal persistence. Identifies 8 (tilted to infinity symbol) and Ankh (Egyptian cross-loop) as symbolic representations of infinity.
Thinking of "immortality" as a concept, there is a surefire way to achieve it: Become a Myth or Legend, it will be spread and become immortal, like the "RAXXLA" Legend did. Also the "8" is when tilted by 90° a symbol for infinity, as is the "Ankh" a cross with a loop at the top section, a symbol from egypt... Hypothesis that Raxxla is a large artificial device/construct orbiting a rogue planet, using gravitational energy to open/close witchspace gateway.
Well... Happy to see this is recovering interest!!! Hi everyone, hi The Black. About the rogue planet hypothesis (this one is my favorite, to be honest). The very first rogue planet, if we believe Wikipedia, was found in 2011 ("Astrophysicist Takahiro Sumi of Osaka University in Japan and colleagues, who form the Microlensing Observations in Astrophysics (MOA) and the Optical Gravitational Lensing Experiment (OGLE) collaborations, carried out a study of microlensing which they published in 2011. Egyptian mythological interpretation where Oisir-Raxxla represents Osiris-Isis or Orion-Sirius, linking ancient mythology to Raxxla's identity through astronomical associations.

It's a bit fun that Eisler/Holdstock uses the name Oisir-Raxxla. In an Egyptian mythological context, it's easy to view this as Osiris-Isis or Orion-Sirius, if you will. Alioth and Sirius both contain similarly-named gas giants: Bifrost (Rainbow Bridge in Norse mythology linking Midgard to Asgard) and Waypoint. Combined with Polaris as the Gate, these form a trinity: Gate (Raxxla/Polaris), Bridge (Bifrost/Alioth), and Way (Waypoint/Sirius).
Indeed the cobra reference was a part of some interview. My brain may be playing tricks on me but I would say that interview had both Sando and David in it whatever it was. My autistic "pattern detector sense" also picked up that Alioth bay be an important part to the puzzle. It may actually contain a hint or straight up way to open Polaris. Bifrost reference and the Golden Gate in the same system that supposedly has a crashed vessel that was able to bypass permits. So, we now have Alioth and Sirius, both having almost exactly same gas giants - one named Waypoint other called Bifrost https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bifröst If that is a coincidence It would be a massive one. So we have the Gate (Raxxla in Polaris), the Bridge (Bifrost in Alioth) and the Way (Waypoint in Sirius).
Raxxla is located in Polaris system and contains a stable portal to Witchspace. Sirius acts as a one-way wormhole exit/waypoint to Polaris. Sirius Corp may have lost the secret to properly opening this wormhole.
It's not Sirius, it's Polaris. Raxxla is in Polaris, however I'm not sure if it is a planet actually. The stable portal to Witchspace is in Polaris and Sirius is possibly an exit to a one way (or currently one way) wormhole to Polaris. That's why it is a Waypoint. I also thint Sirius Corp "lost" the secret to how to properly open the wormhole and this is what they are really researching... Which begs the question ... one of the two planets in the Sirius system is a gas giant named "Waypoint". Waypoint to what? What is it pointing to? Click to expand... Check page 3. The Bifrost from Norse mythology represents a gate guarded by two stars (North and South): Polaris and Sirius. The gate requires ignition, possibly by the Lightbearer (Lucifer) using Loki's Torch to reach Arcadia.

Waypoint orbits Sirius A at approximately 2 AU, which equals exactly 1/10 of the maximum distance between Sirius A and B. The system's center of gravity periodically enters Waypoint's orbit, suggesting deliberate mathematical design.

David Braben's Lovecraft interests combined with Nordic mythology suggest Raxxla may relate to the Bifrost bridge. Sirius (Lokabrenna, Loki's torch) and a polar star (Polaris) could represent the gate's two guardians, with Sirius needed to 'ignite' the passage.

Lucifer planet orbits don't match Kepler's laws; 99-day orbit around Sirius B is physically impossible without collision. Suggests manually input anomalous data or intentional irregularity. Lagrange points checked for anomalies.
Been checking a bit more on the Lucifer oddities form this post: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...-Find-Raxxla?p=6368699&viewfull=1#post6368699 I landed on Lucifer, with Sirius B directly over head. After two days, Sirius B was on the other side of Lucifer. This seem to correspond with the data listed in the system info(4.9 days rotation, 99 days orbit). This does of course not match Kepler's laws. Lucifer should not be able to maintain such a slow orbit, without falling into Sirius B. This is probably a bug due to manually input data, but i'll keep an eye on it. The trail of Thargoid-attacked systems appears to lead toward Alioth, where the Mycoid cure was developed, suggesting possible motivation for Thargoid operations in that direction.
Considering the Raxxla outside-the-bubble theory, I got a wild hair to check out the Thargoid progression pattern of disabled stations. The general line doesn't line up from origin to Sol, it points up and beyond the Bubble and there's this nebula about 4klys coreward (Ara-something?) I'm checking out as it seems to line up with their general heading. Click to expand... Hey, I have the strong feeling that the "trail" of systems attacked by Thargoids is leading more or less towards Alioth - where the cure for the mycoid was developed (as far as I know lore) - maybe the Claxians (are these the ones being persecuted by the Klaxians or was it vice versa ?) hope to get support by the Alliance again ?
The Mycoid vaccine was developed or produced on Hotice 1 by Inter-Gal/Sirius Medical Research for INRA. Hotice does not exist under that name in Elite Dangerous. Historical coordinate reversal between FFE and ED makes precise system location mapping difficult.
The Mycoid vaccine was developed or at least produced on Hotice 1. Hotice does not exist under that name in ED. The vaccine was made by Inter-Gal/Sirius Medical Research, presumably for INRA. I don't know if the vaccine is still lore at all. It's a bit difficult to track the position of systems from the FFE map, because the galactic coordinates were reversed in the old map. Alioth held significance during the first Thargoid war (3125-3152) between Empire and Federation. Possibility that a secret research facility was housed there, though no current evidence found. Later became Alliance homeworld.
Alioth was still a site of conflict between the Empire and Federation during the first Thargoid war. I can't find, nor can I recall anything significant relating to Alioth at all during or before the first Thargoid war. It would be a fairly insignificant system if it wasn't the later homeworld of the Alliance. That doesn't mean there wasn't anything there, or won't be revealed to have housed a secret research facility at some point in the future - but just that I can't dig anything like that up currently. Interesting to know if there is a reference somewhere though. I don't think that the Thargoids have anything to do with Raxxla though, there's never really been any connection there except some vague speculation about Raxxla maybe being a Thargoid device becasue Thargoids are aliens and ...

Omphalos stones from Greek myth (dropped at Delphi where eagles met) tied to Omphalos Rift concept. Delphi system visited with Oracle station but moon search yielded nothing. Zeta Cassiopeia checked with lifeforms but no discoveries.
Been following this thread with some interest. It's an impressive ball of tinfoil, very majestic. I don't have much to add but I like the whole mythology thing that's running amok. In regards to the Omphalos Rift, according to the myth as I get it, one of the Omphalos stones was dropped at Dephi after two eagles met head on. The other was given to Cronus to keep him from eating his son, Zeus. Cronus had previously eaten his father, Uranus, with similar goals (get/stay in power). I've been to Delphi. Hung out on the Oracle, even read Galnet. The moon below the station was a dead end for me. I went to Zeta Cassiopeia. I went to see the lifeforms on the only two landable moons. Lovely star, but that was all I found. I feel that one constellation drawing was quite a find but perhaps a red h...

Analysis proposing the Raxxla logo represents a guide for accessing the system, with 6 reference stars (s1-s6), a hidden central system, and 3 one-way barrier structures (m1-m3) defining specific jump routes.
I took a look at the Raxxla logo from the codex and here is some tin-foil I came up with. Not sure if someone else had this idea before me but at least I don't know about it. This means that in order to access the system one must jump either from s2 to s5 or from s4 to s1 or from s6 to s3. Jumping to one of the s...

It's a story of a guy that dies and is sent to the afterlife, but he wakes up again and is able to tell his story. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myth_of_Er On his journey he comes to: 'After four days they reached a place where they could see a shaft of rainbow light brighter than any they had seen before. After another day's travel they reached it. This was the Spindle of Necessity. Several women, including Lady Necessity, her daughters, and the Sirens were present.' Lady Necessity is the primordial goddess Ananke, the mother of cosmos. She holds the Spindle of Necessity. Her daughters, the Fates spins the spindle and on each rim there is a singing Siren. Plato's Myth of Er describes a Spindle of Necessity held by Ananke (Lady Necessity), the primordial mother of cosmos, with Fates spinning it and Sirens singing on each rim. The spindle represents classical heavens with Earth at center, potentially mapping to game cosmology and hidden location mechanics.

Demeter Class Megaship in Eleu acts as 'temple' parallel. Breaking cargo hatch and transporting stolen goods to Athens/Athena system mirrors Eleusinian priestess ritual of moving sacred objects from Eleusis to Athens.
According to the linked document, there are also things to do before starting the ritual in Athen, which is: "the priestesses of Demeter and Persephone took the basket of Sacred Objects (Hiera) of the Goddess from her temple in Eleusis to Athens" There is a Demeter Class Agricultural Megaship in Eleu. Could that be said "temple"? You can break the cargo-hatch and get some stolen goods from it. Next would be to take it to Athens (=Athena?). But where and what to do with it? There are just so many vague connections between the game and greek myths, and also so many possible red herrings. It's hard to decide which trail to follow, and to be honest, without any kind of reassurance, that there actually is indeed a trail and a goal at the end of it, it's hard to stay motivated.
NPC ship 'Vicious Hades' and proximity to Demeter system suggest connection to Greek mythology. Systems named Athena, Demeter, Persephone, and Eleu may form ritual pathway based on Eleusinian Mystery reenactment structure.
Guru's screenshot shows some interesting relations to the Eleusinian Mysteries, which is based on the myth of Persephone (Demeter's daughter) being kidnapped by Hades. For one the NPC's ship is called "Vicious Hades". Also the system he is in is right next to the "Demeter" system. The last part of the Eleusinian Mysteries included a "reenactment" of the Demeter-myth. Could this screenshot depict that? Maybe players must somehow complete the rituals in Elite. But where to start? The linked document states, that the first step is the "Gathering" at the Athenian Agora or marketplace, in front of the Stoa Poikile. There is a system called "Athena". Also there are the systems Demeter, Persephone and Eleu (=Eleusis?), which might also be relevant. Another interesting detail of the screenshot:...
Investigation following Alexander's oracle journey pattern: Centralis (center/lens focus) connects to Siwa Oasis as desert depression. Phoenix Harbor and bird-named systems explored, yielding crashed ships. Pattern suggests mythological breadcrumb trail for Raxxla discovery.
This happened in 7 days exactly. After receiving the 20 courier missions from the bubble to Colonia. Mind you several of those were not tip-offs. I'm at the point in the story (as I see it) that Alexander goes to the Oracle in the desert to confirm his true identity. He followed birds to it. I went to Centralis and started at Phoenix Harbor. Saw nothing there. Centralis means center, but also is a medical term for a portion of the lens of the eye that is defined as a deep depression where focus is the greatest. The Siwa Oasis (Home of the Oracle in Egypt) is defined as a deep depression in the sand. Found nothing at Phoenix Harbor. Went to the Phoenix system and found my first crashed ship, then a tip-off. Went to all the bird named systems, and found 7 ships, +2 Unknown Wreckage...
Cronus is a planet in Elysia system, creating a mythological connection relevant to Raxxla investigation through classical mythology patterns.
Cronus on game is a planet located in Elysia https://eddb.io/body/13378 Click to expand... It's tied to Elysia...Imagine that. +1 to your investigative work.
Delphi was the Oracle center and navel of the world in ancient Greece, directly paralleling Raxxla codex description mentioning 'Omphalos Rift' as an alien artifact. Oracle station in-game at Delphi reinforces this mythological connection.
From what I understand and looked up wiki about Delphi https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delphi "formerly also called Pytho (Πυθώ), is famous as the ancient sanctuary that grew rich as the seat of Pythia, the oracle who was consulted about important decisions throughout the ancient classical world. Moreover, the Greeks considered Delphi the navel (or centre) of the world, as represented by the stone monument known as the Omphalos of Delphi" Which in this case represents Raxxla description itself on the codex " Several versions of the Raxxla story mention an alien artefact, the Omphalos Rift " But to read on the wiki if this page also mentions The Orcale of Delphi which is an funny to mention the station there is also called the Oracle. https://www.edsm.net/en/system/stations/id/30616616/...
Raxxla may be part of classical triumvirate: Gate in Polaris, Bridge (Bifrost) in Alioth (Alliance home system), and Way (Waypoint) in Sirius. Each represents a distinct pathway or component to accessing Raxxla.
Okay another post which also coincides with a feeling that I had too: That Raxxla is located in Polaris. The System is Permit locked so we can't just get inside, but there may be a way to obtain the Permit womehow and we've not uncovered that yet. Dunno if this has been discussed in the thread before. I noticed that when jumping to a nearby system you can indeed select and target it, just engaging the FSD gets denied. Spoiler https://i.Please use another image host/Oevn2Mo.png I have found a reddit thread discussing the topic, really interesting: https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteDange..._missing_raxxla_link_please_just_hear_me_out/ "So we have the Gate (Raxxla in Polaris), the Bridge (Bifrost in Alioth) and the Way (Waypoint in Sirius)." Also with Alioth, it is the home System of th...
Low-Profile Workshop faction (Bohmshohm) sends increased courier missions to Fortuna. Fortuna (goddess Tyche) connects to Tycho's Supernova in Cassiopeiae through mythological wordplay. Mysterious courier missions to Colonia suggest hidden faction mechanics.
So.... The Low-Profile Workshop and Bohmshohm.... After doing a bunch of jobs for them, I began noticing an increased amount of requests to go to Fortuna. Well...Fortuna is the Goddess of Fortune and prosperity. Which according to the wiki about her means "Bonus Eventus." Fortuna is also known as the Goddess Tyche... Tyche, sound familiar? Tycho's Supernova, the famed missing supernova from Cassiopeiae? And Fortuna is the one who gave me the mysterious courier missions to Colonia once I was allied with them.... BTW, do not ever do illegal missions against Fortuna. Just a forewarning. Now lets take a look at the lyrics of O Fortuna. Theory that the Martian Artifact functions as a key to open/activate the Omphalos Rift gateway at Raxxla; the artifact likely heavily guarded in human space.
The Omphalos stone is a stone. The Omphalos Rift is... a rift What is rift? The central rift? The central hole? Click to expand... The thought has been occurring more and more to me that the Omphalos Stone might be the Martian Artifact. Maybe it's a key that opens up the Omphalos Rift, the gateway at Raxxla? If so, then finding Raxxla could be just the start - activating the gateway might be tricky if it's not already open (or might we need to shut it?!). Chances are that the Martian Artifact is the most heavily-guarded object in human-occupied space (unless that 'winking cat' thief has it on their hit list). Right now, I don't see how to follow-up on this hypothesis, so I'm wary about following this line of thinking too far.
Hypothesis that Omphalos Rift functions as a stargate or portal structure; possibly central to galactic positioning (Sol at 0:0:0 coordinates) or central to a specific planet.
The Omphalos stone is a stone. The Omphalos Rift is... a rift What is rift? The central rift? The central hole? Click to expand... Being a structure/object of some kind I assume it’s something along the lines of stargate. Why it’s omphalos idk. Central to the planet? Sends you to a center? Central to the galmap? (Which would be sol which sits at coordnace 0:0:0) idk that part I really don’t have a clue on.
Classical mythology: Chronos swallowed the Omphalos stone instead of Zeus; later regurgitated/expelled it; stone landed at Pytho (now Delphi) establishing it as world center (navel of Earth).
Maybe also of note that Omphalos is also related to Chronos (Kronus/Saturn son of Uranus) who swallowed the stone instead of Zeus, and later barfed (or was gutted and it fell out) it up along with the siblings of Zeus and the Stone landed at Pytho (now Delphi).
Alternative interpretation that Omphalos Rift may create isolated game instances or pocket dimensions rather than literal parallel universe access; accessible content may be restricted from normal galaxy map.
Assuming there would be no unnecessary mentions in the Codex; I think this part states that old Raxxla lore has been ditched, Raxxla is no longer a portal to parallel universes, but several parts of the old lore are still legit and have some clues. So Omphalos Rift is no longer relevant imho. Click to expand... Potentially I suppose. But idk why they would add new items to old lore in order to discard it in the same breath. Omphalos Rift, Astrophel and the Spiriling Stars, concealed hints and the author of them are all new with the release of the codex. I personally doubt it’ll lead to another galaxy, but parallel dimension isn’t the same thing. Could be that it puts you into another instance all its own with stuff in it that you can’t access or lock onto via the galaxy map.
Hypothesis linking Omphalos mythology to Guardian Ancient Key mechanics, potentially used for detection similar to Thargoid Sensor functionality.
One part of the mythology states that Chronos swallowed his childern and Rhea hid Zeus somehwere ( can't remember off the top of my head) wraps Omphalos stone and was given to Chronos who had swallowed the stone assuming it was Zeus. Other parts said that Zeus release 2 eagles to fly opposite directions until they came back around. Then Zeus threw Omphalos stone into the sky to see where it would land. When the Stone landed on Delphi Zeus had declared that Delphi was at the center of the world (navel of Earth) Funny thing is if this all has to do something with the Guardian Ancient Key being needed for all of this. I can only assume considering how the Thargoid Sensor worked to find certain things.
