Investigation into the anomalous Filipchenko system, named after a USSR astronaut despite lacking typical documentation, positioned along a 2MASS stellar trail with unclear significance to Raxxla.

systemHD 93359 - Potential hidden system candidate

Confirms HD 93359 is located in Carina constellation at approximately correct distance from Sol. Reports that the object appears to be placed at right location but lacks proper definition.

HD references usually work - I've visited around 100 Carina systems using a list of HD numbers from Wiki. The 'invisible' HD 93359 system is in the right general area - it's in the Carina constellation at the correct approximate distance from Sol. It's like they put the object at the right location but forgot to define what it is. Click to expand... Might be an idea to simply bug report it.

systemFilipchenko system anomaly investigation

System named Filipchenko mentioned as being in the middle of a 2MASS observed trail of stars, with no Google entry found. Author questions why FDevs named it after USSR astronaut when a spaceport already has this name.

I guess it's the same type of glitch as when we are dropped far from the star. By the way, great mass jump, Macros. Thanks for the hospitality. A nice team you have gathered there. I'll pay you another visit before the Circumnavigation ends. [yesnod] Right now I am quite doubtfully about a system called Filipchenko... In the middle of that 2MASS actually observed trail of stars. No entry of such a system in Google. Why the hell did the FDevs name it so ? Tribute to the USSR astronaut ? There is already a spatioport with this name. [???]
