Data crystals transported via SAP 8 Core containers and Trinkets of Hidden Fortune serve as vehicles for encoded coordinate information about Raxxla. Analysis of delivery patterns and cryptographic decryption may reveal location data distributed across multiple systems.

Data crystals delivered in 'Obfuscated In The Outer Rim' mission do not appear in cargo hold despite being transported. Hypothesis: crystals contain spatial coordinates about Raxxla that may be decoded upon accumulation.
Mission: Obfuscated In The Outer Rim (Answering The Call Of Adventure) Summary: Data crystals are found by the Dark Wheel and supposedly contains a map with coordinates with an unknown context. Crypto-guys needs more crystals and wants to know where the Dark Wheel located these crystals and whether they are human in origin. Crystals do not appear in cargo hold when transported. Hypothesis: Data crystals contains spatial information about Raxxla (Place that isn't a place, door that is also the key. The myth). Delivering enough? crystals will reveal the map, coordinates and their context in the Outer Rim? Crystals could originate from the Mission: What Was Lost Will Soon Be Found and would therefore be human in origin? Observations: 23 jul 3301: Deliveries are very evenly distributed fo...

Both Trinkets of Hidden Fortune and SAP 8 Core containers function as data crystal vehicles, suggesting redundant or complementary delivery mechanisms for Raxxla coordinate information.
I've seen pirates drop Trinkets of Hidden Fortune after pulverising them in my Python. I could never retrieve them though. Click to expand... It is interesting that the Trinkets function as vehicles for transporting data crystals just like the SAP 8 Core containers. Good luck with this commander. I really hope this leads you to something. Click to expand... Thanks, Don Alvarez. It has already led to excitement;yesterday I lost Ryath for the first time, now she's outfitted with a Mirrored Surface Composite hull I'm not entirely convinced these missions themselves are the keys to unlocking something. What they seem to be, however, are hints that this story is heading in that particular direction, in the guise of missions accessible only to the ELITE players - further suggested by ...
Plan to hunt for SAP-8 Core Containers in 3.0 update and test Thargoid Decryptor device as potential Raxxla-related mechanics.
When 3.0 hits, I'll hunt for SAP 8 Core Containers, and give the Thargoid Decryptor device a try. My alt is still travelling the Galaxy Rim. Tracking TDW ships did not give any hints. Believe Raxxla is in SD, have yet to find a good method to map all visible stars for elimination. Think that's it.
Alternative interpretation using RAXXLA backwards yields Aluminum(Al)=13 and Argon(Ar)=18 with elements between them on the periodic table, suggesting a possible coordinate system or pattern-matching approach.
Hello, been keeping up with this off and on for a year or two, finally contributing my idea. The name Raxxla itself is the clue, but its coordinates, atomic number of Radium(Ra) is 88, Lanthanium(La) 57, so 88,xx,57 and it just so happens there is a system that is dead nuts on those galactic coordinates. ICZ OI-S b4-3 Ive already jumped to and scaned everything obvious in the system with no luck, there are two landable planets though. Another idea using information from periodic table of elements is that maybe raxxla could also be used backwards, so you end up with Aluminum(Al) 13, XX, Argon(Ar)18, those two elements are on the same line on the table and there is also two single letter elements and two double letter elements between them. So maybe some combination of either the single l...
The name Raxxla encodes galactic coordinates using atomic numbers: Radium(Ra)=88, Lanthanum(La)=57, giving 88,xx,57. System ICZ OI-S b4-3 matches these coordinates exactly and contains two landable planets requiring further investigation.

Using original Elite name generation, RAXXLA coordinates map to 20-42-21, suggesting drawing a line through Sol using these X/Z coordinates to search Y-axis values along the axis intersection.
Going off the theme that "RAXXLA" is somehow an indicator of a set of coordinates ... <snip> I don't know ... maybe we take a similar tact as the Rift only, instead of a line from Reorte to Riedquat, we draw a line from Sol through coordinates 20, ?, 21 and search every "Y" coordinate that falls along the "X/Z" axis? Click to expand... Just sticking my head in to say 'hi' to the folks whose name I recognize and to say Jaiotu, you still have some of the coolest theories. Clearly in that series XX would have been 42 so 20,42,21.
Ra-Xx-La mapped to Do-Re-Me-Fa-So-La-Ti scale yields Miso (Japanese soup), which connects to Japan, then to periodic table elements with atomic numbers 11, 55, 236, with system HIP PYn0n5en5e containing a landable planet 56 with lost cargo.
Do Ray Me So Fa La Ti Do Ra Xx La, so Xx is me so. Miso is Japanese soup Ja pa n is periodic table for Jumponium, passonium and nitrogen Atomic numbers are 11,55,236 There is a system there called HIP PYn0n5en5e The 56th planet is landable There is a crater with lost cargo The cargo could be from Raxxla. I think this should be investigated....
The original Elite galaxy names were procedurally generated from a specific lookup table. RAXXLA may encode coordinates using this same two-letter name generation system, with XX representing the middle coordinate value.
Going off the theme that "RAXXLA" is somehow an indicator of a set of coordinates ... Anyone familiar with the way in which the original Elite galaxy created by Ian Bell and David Braben is familiar with the fact that all of the system names (many of which are still familiar in Elite: Dangerous) were procedurally generated. In other words the entire galaxy was generated from a specific seed when you booted up the game. This saved memory and disk space allowing the creation of 2,040 individual star systems spread across 8 galaxies. There was a specific lookup table used to generate each system name from "random" numbers measuring from 1 to 31. Here's the original lookup table: Spoiler 1 LE 2 XE 3 GE 4 ZA 5 CE 6 BI 7 SO 8 US 9 ES 10 AR 11 MA 12 IN 13 DI 14 RE 15 A...
Interaction with a 'communications control' surface site triggered a data package retrieval. Appears to be a newly spawned tip-off mission in the past weeks, distinct from Raxxla search but indicative of new in-game story mechanics.
Any interaction with this "coms control" ? Click to expand... Yeah it gave a data package. Is it a new one? Many surface sites have been messed up lately. Not sure how tip off missions currently are. Rawat Depot++ in Coni system still played out that mysterious scanned message a few weeks ago, and possibility of some new bits of information is main reason I like hopping into SRV every now and then. I think I was supposed to post about it but didn't remember. Also Raxxla mystery likely has nothing to do with places like this, and doesn't require Horizons at all. Click to expand... I think its a new tip off that's appeared in the past few weeks. I wasn't suggesting its anything particular to do with Raxxla. Just wondered what the heck its all about, and posit the possibility that F...
Data survey cache discovered at Epsilon Orionis containing potentially significant information, with speculation about relevance to Raxxla location.
Went to Epsilon Orionis, found small data survey cache. If I'm really lucky, it'll contain the location of Raxxla. Saw the g on AB 2, could not resist. Spoiler https://i.Please use another image host/rzKJRK1.png
Investigation into whether 'SAP 8 Core' refers to the container type or the contents within. If it describes the container, it could potentially hold something other than the crystal shard described in official text, suggesting hidden properties or dual-use functionality.
Didn’t see either in the shop at ShinDez! Obviously DW have cornered and closed down supply... Click to expand... Yes but more seriously ... just what is a "SAP 8 Core Container"? Is it a container for SAP 8 cores or is "SAP 8 core" the name of the kind of container? Why does it matter? Well ... if "SAP 8 core" describes the container then it is possible that a SAP 8 Core Container could contain something other than the crystal shard described in the object's text. If, however, SAP 8 Core refers to the crystal inside the container then it is descriptive. What the heck is a SAP 8 core? When I'm not flying around the galaxy I'm using piloting my way though either a Linux or Unix filesystem. When I think of a "core" I think of a memory dump ... the recorded state of memory from a pro...
SAP-8 may relate to octal coding systems used in computing. The container appears human-made while the shard is of unknown origin, suggesting a decoding process could unlock the container without destruction.
SAP-8. Anyone tried some of this octal-thing ? Octal coded memory, or something like that. FDevs used to like it. The shard is of unknown origin. But the container seems of pretty human origin. Maybe a wise decoding process may open it without blowing it.

RAXXLA encoded through spiral cipher produces sequence 18 1 24 53 12 30, which correlates to specific verses in Astrophel and Stella sonnet. Verse sequences may contain hidden coordinates or directional information.
Looking at the sonnet, I thought of the spiral cipher. If you encode RAXXLA in that cipher you get the following sequence 18 1 24 53 12 30 And here are the verses that it corresponds to. Although I'm not sure there is any significance here. Codex reference to 'Astrophel and the Spiralling Stars' links to actual 1580s sonnet 'Astrophel and Stella.' Sonnet contains repeating word patterns at line endings that may encode positional or directional information for Raxxla location.
I came across something today when doing some random research on Raxxla. In the Codex there are several hints/clues I think I may have picked up on. 1) First, they make mention of something called Omphalos Rift. Omphalos was a religious stone artifact in Ancient Greek. So i am going to look around greek named systems around the bubble near sol. There is a system called Delphi that was named something else in the beginning but was changed in Beyond. 2) This is the most important thing i have discovered today in my research. The Codex talks about a story called "Astrophel and the Spiralling Stars" or Astrophel and Stella, this is an acutal sonnet worte in the 1580's. When you read the sonnet you will see there is a pattern in the words rhymed at the end of each line. Sonnets were wrote i...
Stolen painting 'Terra Absentia' translates to 'missing ground' with no real historical record, suggesting fictional creation as metaphorical reference to Raxxla's hidden/missing location.
https://vagabondsofraxxla.wordpress.com/galnet-cat-thief-article/ here are some of my notes on the cat thief.. Rembrandt in an uncharacteristically defiant pose, and the famous Picasso on the pain of war and an early cubist picture.. Terra Absentia means 'missing ground', but of course, no wikipedia page for a painting done in 23xx. feel free to browse the rest of my notes.. YB
Character names in Winking Cat Thief Galnet articles contain anagrams (Madoc Evander = 'More Advanced', Femi Abram = 'Mamba Fire') and 'Barclay Uxor' contains letters for 'Raxxla' (with single x), suggesting intentional coded messaging.
Recent Galnet articles about the Art Thief. Click to expand... Some of the names (of the artists and the investigators) are anagrams. For example, Madoc Evander = More Advanced. Femi Abram = Mamba Fire. Imogen Ryang has a whole slew of anagrams, though few make sense in the context of the game. Barclay Uxor has the letters for "Raxla" in it, though only one x. I'm not very good with codes or anagrams, perhaps you guys could also check the link to the full articles posted by Oblackhando and check for anagrams. This may not be related to Raxxla; it may be something about the next expansion. Also, I wonder if we can see this (or something similar) on Mars, heh. Don't have time to check today, unfortunately, sorry about that.
Recent Galnet articles about the Art Thief contain clues linking stolen art pieces to the Nereids, which connect to Cassiopeia constellation, potentially revealing Dark Wheel or Raxxla connections.
People. I believe to have found another clue to Raxxla or DW. Recent Galnet articles about the Art Thief. Look into the pieces that they stole. Now find the connections to the Nereids. Those are connected to Cassiopeia. Now look into what the art thief stole the first time... Holy moly, let the speculation begin
Theft of a Gustave Courbet painting by winking cat thief may serve as confirmation of an ongoing mystery trail or puzzle element.
