Systematic investigation of nebulae along the Beagle Point journey with tabulated coordinates for multiple nebulae checked for rogue planets including Coalsack, Ophiuchus Dark Region C, Snake, Rho Ophiuchi, Lupus Dark Region B, and others.
Looking for rogue planets in nebulae along the route to Beagle Point Started the journey today towards Beagle Point with the Distant Worlds expedition. The quest is secret, and my fellow explorers does not know I'm using this journey as cover for this secret mission. Many members of covert groups are also on this trip, and it's imperative that they have no hint as to my motive for joining this expedition, as I'm sure they are using the journey for the exact same purpose. Think I'll keep a close eye on their whereabouts at all times, especially those with weapons. During the trip, I'll investigate all nebula within easy reach for signs of any rogue planets that might be Raxxla. The method for finding any rogue planet is secret, and will not even be disclosed in this journal. | Nebula nam...
Analysis of Raxxla's narrative arc: unknown to Alex Ryder in The Dark Wheel, but by 3303 it's prominent enough for faction names ('Children of Raxxla') and Salome references at Beagle Point. Questions what galaxy-changing events elevated its status.
Placing Raxxla out of our reach would be just mean. But you're right, witchspace, permit locked systems, even regions like COL 70 Sector is a possibility. And nobody has promised we could find it. Click to expand... Well that kills the fun. It makes sense though. Set hilariously high expectations, take 10 years to tell the tale as it needs to be, laugh as this thread goes nuts as we realise the ruse (like a goldfish gainiing the concept of an ever expanding enclosure). Time will tell. Click to expand... I wouldn't say that searching for Raxxla right now is a lost cause. This is THE big puzzle of the Elite universe. Raxxla. Everyone and their dog knows about Raxxla. When Jason Ryder, moments before his death, spoke that word to his son Alex ... Alex had no idea what the word meant...
Analysis of lore mentioning Raxxla was first recorded in Federation data banks on Earth in 2814. Questions whether early discovery suggests Raxxla is closer to the bubble than distant systems.
Not sure how much it's been covered, but going by the above post of 'We have "The Children of Raxxla" advertising the place in their faction name. Salome speaking about Raxxla from Beagle Point and stating that it was first mentioned "in Federation data banks on Earth in 2814".' When was it first claimed to have been visited again? If it is prior to all of these huge FSD jumps we get now, I can imagine that Raxxla could actually not be that far away from us? Otherwise it'd take a long time to get there and back?
